Windows Dialer Setup

Win 95/98 Short Way
1) Click on My Computer
2) Click on Dialup-Networking
3) Make a new connection (name it "Mountain Access")
4) When done, right click on the new connection icon.
5) Go down to Properties, and then click on the Server Types tab.
6) Only two boxes should be checked: Software Compression, and TCP/IP.
7) Click ok and now, you can connect.

Win 95/98 Graphical Way
On the Desktop (opening screen), move your cursor to My Computer.
LEFT doubleclick on My Computer.
LEFT doubleclick on Dial-Up Networking.

LEFT doubleclick on Make New Connection.

LEFT click Next when done typing.

LEFT click Finish.


Now you have a new icon in the Dial-Up Networking folder.

RIGHT click on it.

Slide down to Properties.

LEFT click on Properties.

Left click on Server Types.

Uncheck (LEFT button) Log on to network and NetBEUI
and IPX/SPX Compatible.

Left click OK.


Again, RIGHT click on the icon.

Slide down to Create Shortcut, and LEFT click.

Agree with it. LEFT click Yes.

Close the Dial-Up Networking folder. (LEFT click the X at the top right corner.)


LEFT doubleclick the new icon on your Desktop, Shortcut to Mountain Access.

LEFT click in the space next to User name:
Type in your username. Be sure to type in the whole thing,
even though it may look like an email address.

Hit the TAB key and type in your password exactly as you created it.
(Case sensitive).

LEFT click the Connect button.

If you have successfully connected,
look for the two little green computer icons by the clock.

RIGHT click on the computer icons.
LEFT click on Status.

Your mileage may vary.

This is also how you disconnect.
